Summer fun

As we celebrate the summer solstice, now is the perfect time to get outside and make the most of the longer days and warmer weather.

Sitting at a desk all day is a given for many of us, but when six o’clock strikes and the weekend arrives there are lots of options available.

Here in East Anglia, where I spend most of my time, there’s plenty on offer.

From early morning activities to evening ambles, Suffolk Wildlife Trust has events for all times and all ages.

If you yearn for the sea, The Suffolk Coast has some great ideas – why not try camping, glamping or alfresco dining? Or just download some of their recommended beach walks.

If entertainment is top of your list, Snape Maltings has classical music in abundance. While the Cambridge Folk Festival has everything, well, folk! And there are too many amazing theatres to mention, so check out Visit East of England to find out more.

When your desk calls again, there is still fun to be had with a business hat on. Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is the go-to site for local business events and their Rooftop Garden Party looks one not to miss.

Whatever you do this summer, enjoy. 😊
